I'm a huge fan of Joanna Borromeo. My favorite song is the title cut off of her 2010 "Through The Dark". For some reason I looped the opening 4 bars of strings and kept them saved. During a brainstorming session, my long-term collaborating partner Doyle Robinson dug it and wrote some verses on top of it. My plan was to remix this cut and replace the sample, but it came together so well with that particular sample, I left it as is. Hope she don't mind. She's my inspiration.
